One-sided (Left-tailed) Confidence Intervals

The one-sided (left-tailed) $ 100\cdot(1-\alpha)\%$ confidence interval is centered at $ \overline{x}$ and has its lower limit given by:

   lower limit$\displaystyle \;=\;\overline{x}-z_{\alpha}\cdot\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}\qquaD$Cell E16

The interval is assumed to have no upper limit, or, equivalently, to have an upper limit of $ \infty$ .
